HOME / About ME
Hi, I’m Catherine Finn — Christian Emotional Regulation Coach and founder of Holistic Bio Coach™.
I help parents, teens, and individuals move from emotional crisis to clarity using faith-based tools and DBT-informed skills. With over 15 years of experience as a trauma-informed educator and coach, I bring both personal and professional insight into the work I do—because I’ve walked this road myself.
I hold a B.S. in Science (Biology major, Chemistry and Psychology minors), an M.S. in Education, and an Instructional Coaching Certificate. I’ve completed DBT skills training through Psychwire, taught by Dr. Marsha Linehan’s team, and further training through NEABPD’s Family Connections program and their Managing Suicidality & Trauma Recovery course. I’m also trained in trauma-informed care, PCIT, restorative practices, SEL, and de-escalation strategies—and I serve as a volunteer with both NEABPD and NAMI, supporting families affected by emotional dysregulation and mental health challenges.
My coaching, courses, and products are grounded in Scripture, neuroscience, and practical emotional regulation. I’m the creator of ER Not the ER™, the Neuro-Spiritual Map™, and a growing line of resources like faith-based DBT skill cards, emotional regulation boxes, and devotional journals.
I also carry the lived experience of walking through difficult emotional seasons within my own family. That journey is what sparked my passion to create tools that are simple, scriptural, and life-giving—even in the middle of the storm.
I believe healing is possible. I believe connection can be restored. And I believe we are never alone when we’re rooted in Christ and grounded in truth.
